Background: Stage IV colorectal cancer (CRC) exhibits heterogeneous characteristics in tumor extent and biology. The overall survival of patients with metastatic CRC has improved the development multimodal treatments new chemotherapeutic drugs.Current Concepts: Resection is performed for liver, lung, or peritoneal metastases. Conversion surgeries to resect oligometastatic lesions have been developed regression using agents. Two-stage hepatectomy extended surgical indications CRC. Synchronous liver primary resection can be considered adequate conditions. Local ablation radiotherapy used treat lung metastasis.
